My Reflections from 2016

My Reflections from 2016

2016 was a year of getting to know Sophia, the woman I'd marry in 2017. During that discovery, I also wanted to be transparent to her. If I love her, I want her to know the real, authentic, true Blair. Self-awareness is the only way I could feel confident I was moving forward with integrity and honesty. Thus, awareness became more important to me than it was already. Here are a few of the articles I wrote during the year. May you see some aspect you can learn from, as I did writing them.
Mark Twain once said, “If you tell the truth, you never have to remember anything.” It’s a light-hearted reminder that lying tends to make problems, not solve them.

The Freedom to Be You  - An Audio Story.

Every person I have had the honor to coach uses the word “freedom” or “liberation” when describing how they live and feel after they achieve some understanding of themselves and how their brains process situations. The wonderful gift of that awareness is that it allows you to keep your goals and dreams your primary focus. In other words, you gain the freedom to be you.

My Reflections

Reflections are a way we can see ourselves. We can see our thoughts, our emotions, and our actions if we look closely. I teach Awareness as an essential tool we have to create a meaningful and peaceful life. I feel I need to practice what I preach. So, I occasionally work out my observations through writing, and when I think I’ve made some critical insights, I post it. It is a form of accountability for me.

In my previous career, I was a record producer, and I would tell the artists that I worked with that “there is nothing like an audience to teach you how to play in front of an audience.” In a way, posting these reflections are my audience. These pages are a way I can work out my thoughts, observations, and insights, and maybe you and I can both grow through them. Ram Dass said, “We are all just walking each other home.” These pages are where I work out my offerings to that journey we are all on. Thank you for joining me and for inviting me to join you.

If you would like to chat further about something you read here, please write to me using this form.

May you grow from these writings as much as I have.
