Welcome to Creating Self-Discipline
Welcome. And thank you.
Thank you for joining me as we explore ways to make our lives feel more satisfying and complete.
I am looking forward to learning together.
Within one business day, I’ll write to you using the email address you used to pay. We can arrange the best time for both of us to hold our first class. Please look for an email from BlairAshby.com. If you want me to write to a different email address, please contact me using the form below and send me the address you want me to use.
Here is some info to help you feel more comfortable as we begin this journey.
I have built my classes upon active learning. In other words, we'll put the lessons into practical use. We will start with Wire Building in each session, and then I’ll give a short talk. Throughout all this, we’ll enjoy group discussions to absorb and process what we have learned. Lastly, I’ll offer an awareness activity to do outside of the class session, so you continue to practice and learn during the week.
If I provide any additional resources for this class, I will send you a link to the resources.
All of our class sessions will take place online using Zoom. If you have never used Zoom before, you can learn how to set up your computer, tablet, or phone here: Setting Up Zoom for Your Class.
A couple of days before the class, I will begin sending out emails with the class Zoom invitation. I will send out the Zoom invitation several times to you. Please feel free to try the invitation by clicking on the link before the class to familiarize yourself with how Zoom works.
I look forward to seeing you in our first session. If you have questions before, please use the form below to email me or call me at 720-789-4000.
May you have a good day.

Here are some importatnt thoughts to ponder before our first class.
Noise is important—whether it be the audible kind or the noise of our own thoughts—because how we are with noise and other changing conditions in our practice is how we are with the conditions of our life.
- LAMA WILLA B. MILLER
We have this odd assumption that we will fall in love with ourselves only when we have become totally efficient organized beings, and left all our bumbling ineptness behind. Yet, the opposite is true; in our vulnerability, our awkwardness of not knowing, of not being in charge. In vulnerability we are open to the world.
- David Whyte
Let yourself get shaken up. What are you willing to give up to ensure your own unfolding, and the unfolding of what is holy in your life? Where you stumble, there is your treasure.
- Joseph Campbell
The coin lost in the river is found in the river.
